About the role


As a Mobile Architect, you will make an impact by leading the architecture, design, and technical direction of native iOS and Android solutions that power critical business applications. You will be a valued member of the mobile engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive technical excellence and ensure scalable, high-quality mobile experiences.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide architectural and technical leadership across native iOS and Android development, influencing design decisions and engineering best practices.
  • Architect, design, and guide implementation of complex mobile systems and major application components across both platforms.
  • Conduct technical reviews and support the team in resolving production issues and optimizing application performance.
  • Mentor and coach engineering team members to elevate overall technical capability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the mobile architecture roadmap and evaluate feasibility of mobile solutions.

What you need to have to be considered

  • 8+ years of professional experience building native iOS and/or Android applications.
  • 1+ years developing and debugging for both platforms.
  • Experience architecting and maintaining complex mobile solutions with multiple systems and integrations.
  • Ability to design mobile features that interface with internal and external systems.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development processes in distributed environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding technical team members.
  • Published at least one native app for both iOS and Android.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience shaping mobile design standards, coding guidelines, or architectural frameworks.
  • Familiarity with emerging mobile technologies, tools, and architectural trends.
  • Ability to influence technical direction and drive innovation across teams.

Salary and other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is $100,000 – $139,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to applicable plan terms.
