New Business Account Executive

Private Aviation SaaS | Remote

Position Overview

AirTera is seeking a driven, results-oriented New Business Account Executive to expand our footprint within the private charter industry.

This is a true hunter role. You will not inherit a book of business. Success is built on outbound prospecting, relationship development, and disciplined execution.

AirTera provides mission-critical compliance and operational technology solutions that help charter operators manage:

  • Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Drug and Alcohol Compliance Programs
  • Training and Certification Tracking
  • Background Checks

These solutions directly support FAA and DOT regulatory compliance. Operators rely on them to stay certified, operational, and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and develop new business opportunities with private charter operators nationwide
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry events
  • Run consultative demos for Directors of Operations, Safety Managers, HR leaders, and executive stakeholders
  • Navigate competitive bids and structured evaluation processes
  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact through contract execution
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, operations, and marketing teams
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM discipline in Salesforce
  • Stay current on aviation regulations and industry developments

What Success Looks Like

First 90 days:

  • Consistent outbound activity
  • Meetings and demos with qualified operators
  • Pipeline built and progressing
  • Early competitive positioning opportunities

This is a relationship-driven, compliance-heavy industry. Many operators are not actively shopping. The ability to stay top-of-mind and create engagement is critical.

Ideal Background

  • 3–5+ years in new business development or full-cycle SaaS sales
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline independently
  • Experience selling technology solutions
  • Exposure to competitive or structured buying processes
  • Strong presentation and persuasion skills
  • Comfortable traveling 25%–40%

Strongly preferred:

  • Aviation operational knowledge
  • Experience selling into private charter operators
  • Familiarity with FAA, DOT, or regulated environments
  • Background in safety, compliance, or credentialing platforms

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000–$150,000
  • On-target earnings: ~$250,000
  • Uncapped commissions with accelerators
  • Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k)
  • 100% Remote

Compensation is structured to reward consistent quota attainment and significant overperformance.

Travel

  • 25%–40% travel
  • Monthly industry conferences and events
  • Some months may require multiple trips

Growth Opportunity

This is a high-impact role within a growing aviation technology platform.

Strong performance can create expanded responsibility as the team scales. The organization is prepared to reward individuals who drive meaningful revenue growth.

If you want, I can make this tighter and slightly more aggressive to better screen out mid-market SaaS candidates who lack aviation exposure.

Apply today and we'll be in touch within 48 hours.
