Summary

If you’re currently a member of the Yelp Elite Squad and have been looking for a way to be more involved with Yelp, this opportunity is for you! Our Online Community Ambassadors are tasked with engaging and educating Yelp users with their authentic and helpful tone through written communications. Their efforts are focused on fostering connection on our platform. Each week you'll be charged with assignments that build up our online community through Yelp messaging tools and occasionally taking on virtual projects to support your local Community Manager's efforts. Just know that it will take a firm 19 hours to get it done — though how you schedule that time is flexible — and will require a secure internet connection.

This position requires both residing in Tampa Bay FL or Orlando FL and being a current member of the Elite Squad for either region.

What You'll Do

  • You will interact directly with Yelp users in your area through the website and mobile app.
  • You will engage online with local Yelp users and the Yelp Elite Squad in your region in tandem with the local community manager and Yelp team. You will maintain your Yelp Elite status by continuing to contribute meaningful content to the platform.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • You reside in Tampa Bay or Orlando and are currently a member of the Yelp Elite Squad for either region.
  • You have effective written communication skills and enjoy engaging with others online.
  • You are self motivated and work well when managing your own schedule.
  • You have a passion for Yelp, your metro and connecting people with great local businesses and the wider Yelp community.
  • You have experience with, or the ability to quickly learn, online systems such as Google Docs.

Other Requirements

  • You have the bandwidth and flexibility to work a firm 19 hours per week.
  • You are at least 21 years of age.
  • You have a personal smartphone capable of running the Yelp app.
  • While you will not be restricted to working only for Yelp, outside gigs, especially influencer opportunities, will need to be reviewed for potential conflicts of interest.

What You'll Get

Compensation range for this position is $15 - $20 per hour.
