Job Summary

Progressive Technology is hiring motivated college students and recent graduates to join our remote tutoring pool. If you love explaining concepts clearly, enjoy helping others succeed, and want to earn from home on a flexible schedule, this role is for you. You will deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group online tutoring sessions across a range of subjects (STEM, Computer Science, Business, English & Communication, Test Prep, and more), create simple learning resources, and track learner progress using our digital tools. We provide training, structured lesson frameworks, and continuous feedback so you can focus on what you do best—teaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct live 1:1 or small-group online tutoring sessions through our virtual classroom platform.

  • Explain complex topics in a simple, engaging, and student-friendly manner.

  • Assess learner needs, set learning goals, and customize lesson plans accordingly.

  • Create and share concise study notes, problem sets, quizzes, and revision guides.

  • Track and report learner progress, attendance, and outcomes in our LMS.

  • Provide constructive feedback and actionable learning tips after every session.

  • Maintain high standards of punctuality, professionalism, and academic integrity.

  • Attend periodic training, calibration, and quality-review sessions.

  • Collaborate with our Academic Quality Team to continuously improve session quality and learning materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current college student, recent graduate, or postgraduate in any discipline (priority for STEM/CS/Business/English, but all strong applicants welcome).

  • Strong command over at least one core subject (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Programming, Data Structures, English Writing/Grammar, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, etc.).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to break down complex ideas into easy, step-by-step explanations.

  • Comfortable using online teaching tools (video conferencing, digital whiteboards, shared docs, LMS).

  • Reliable internet connection, laptop/desktop, and a quiet workspace.

Experience

  • No prior professional tutoring experience required—we will train you.

  • Any informal teaching, mentoring, doubt-solving, peer tutoring, or TA experience is a plus.

  • Experience creating notes, presentations, or problem sets will be advantageous.

Working Hours

  • Fully flexible—you choose your preferred time slots (minimum commitment typically 10–15 hours/week).

  • Peak demand often falls during evenings and weekends (you can opt in based on availability).

  • Option to scale up hours during exams, peak seasons, or semester breaks.
