<strong>Overview<br><br></strong><strong> JOB DESCRIPTION <br><br></strong>The Data Tech I supports the operational components of the reporting system; working in collaborating with clinical teams to generate, review, and deliver results reports and associated materials following genetic testing. Initiates the reporting process and is responsible for a variety of activities to support the generation and delivery of reports.<br><br><strong>Shift<br><br></strong>Up to 28 hours per week<br><br><strong>Mandatory Saturday coverage: </strong>Minimum of 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM<br><br><strong>Flexible weekday scheduling: </strong>Monday–Friday between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM<br><br><strong>Pay: </strong>$19.28/hr<br><br><strong>Responsibility<br><br></strong>Each employee’s specific job responsibilities within the production environment are generally defined as follows:<br><br><br><ul><li> Process hardcopy and electronic data such as: </li><li> Prepare patient records and test results for clinical review. </li><li> Assemble report packages and initiate electronic and physical delivery. </li><li> Image documents and maintain electronic records. </li><li> Perform technical and quality control tasks such as: </li><li> Help identify and resolve data inconsistencies, discrepancies, and process exceptions that occur outside of normal process. </li><li> Track production flow metrics. </li><li> Provide customer support such as: </li><li> Communicate with providers to verify receipt of upgraded amended test results. </li><li> Contribute to department continuous improvement program to increase quality and efficiency. </li><li> Comply with laboratory’s technical, administrative, and safety policies and procedures. </li><li> Adhere to good documentation practices. </li><li> Additional responsibilities as defined by supervisor. <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br><br></strong><ul><li> High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. </li><li> Strong candidates will possess the following: </li><li> Enjoys a team environment. </li><li> Able to prioritize and complete a variety of tasks. </li><li> Follows lab safety protocols. </li><li> Able to work in a fast paced environment with some tasks requiring extended time standing and walking around for pick ups. </li><li> Clear written and verbal communication. </li><li> Attention to detail. </li><li> Able to analyze and organize complex information. </li><li> Proficient with computers. </li><li> Comfortable speaking on the phone for customer support and adhering to a script. . <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements<br><br></strong>Lifting Requirements – medium work or exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force consistently. Physical Requirements – stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, reaching, and repetitive motion. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions – exposure to fumes, dust, extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid, noise, vibration, mists or gases, mechanical hazards, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, and radiant energy hazards.
