You will work in collaboration with our Market Growth Directors, Directors of Operations, and Ports & Maritime Leadership to promote and provide Ports & Maritime design expertise, leadership, recognition, and market share growth. Your time will be split evenly between Principal and Growth Leader. As a Principal, you will serve as a team leader responsible for project delivery, client satisfaction, and project & portfolio profitability. You will provide Ports & Maritime technical and/or project management leadership; responsible for the execution of quality projects in-line with Jacobs' processes and procedures that are functionally successful, technically sound and respond creatively to client needs, expectations, budget and schedule. You will contribute and foster a positive and sustainable interdisciplinary team working environment. As a Growth Leader, you'll drive client outreach strategies and relationship development actions, identify key pursuits and lead positioning and proposal efforts. You will be responsible for understanding the unique trends in the market and using that knowledge to work with our team to create technical differentiation from that of our competitors while serving as an important conduit between our Regional, National, and Global Market Solution (technology) Leaders, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Sales Leaders, and our operations (delivery) leadership and practice staff. Your knowledge of the market will include port authorities, local governments, decision makers, key stakeholders, and short- and long-range capital improvement plans which will be key to your success. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a team leader responsible for project delivery, client satisfaction, and project & portfolio profitability.
  • Provide Ports & Maritime technical and/or project management leadership.
  • Execute quality projects in-line with Jacobs' processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive and sustainable interdisciplinary team working environment.
  • Drive client outreach strategies and relationship development actions.
  • Identify key pursuits and lead positioning and proposal efforts.
  • Understand unique trends in the market to create technical differentiation.
  • Build strategic win-win relationships with other consulting firms and contractors.
  • Lead client service teams for existing and new clients across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Geographies.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Marketing or related discipline.
  • Substantial professional years of progressive experience in capital improvements with a specialty in Transportation projects, particularly ports and waterfront infrastructure.
  • Substantial years of management experience; developing and leading procurement and project teams.
  • Experience developing strategies for growth including brand development.
  • Successful track record of guiding proposals to a successful outcome.
  • Proven client relationships with public and private sector clients engaged in ports and waterfront development projects.
