And knowing that we have helped make a difference is incredibly fulfilling and inspiring for all of us.</p><p></p><p>The Civil Engineering teams responsibilities include design, analysis, and calculations and specifications for hydrology/hydraulics, sanitary and storm sewage, storm water management, water treatment, potable water and other utilities for the site/area development of an individual facility/attraction, land, or theme park project. </p><p></p><p>You will report to<b> </b>Civil Engineering Manager.</p><p></p><p>This is a Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement.</p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do:</b></p><ul><li><p>Responsible for civil engineering design, analysis, and calculations for large or highly complex site/area development projects at the land-level, or such projects that require advanced technical specialty (i.e. hydrology/hydraulics) within the Civil Engineering function with no supervision</p></li><li><p>Perform peer reviews of work product of other department staff</p></li><li><p>Serve as a technical expert, role model and mentor to junior staff</p></li><li><p>Develop scopes of work, engineering soft cost design estimates and resource plans</p></li><li><p>Provide technical direction to in-house engineers and designers, and to outside consultants in the production of construction contract documents</p></li><li><p>Will be expected to work independently without supervision</p></li><li><p>May lead a large team of civil engineers and designers on large, complex projects at the land-level through all phases of design</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications & Skills:</b></p><ul><li><p>12 years or more experience in civil engineering</p></li><li><p>Experience designing detention/retention ponds</p></li><li><p>Experience designing complex utility systems for large infrastructure projects with broad knowledge of the civil engineering discipline</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of grading</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of hydrology/hydraulics</p></li><li><p>Detailed familiarity with civil design and knowledge of Civil 3D</p></li><li><p>Strong interpersonal skills</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications & Skills:</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud</p></li><li><p>Experience leading a design team</p></li><li><p>Some knowledge in design of water treatment facilities for water features and its corresponding recirculation systems.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering required</p></li><li><p>Professional registration in Civil Engineering required</p></li><li><p>An advanced degree in the Civil Engineering field is desirable</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional Information:</b></p><p>Benefits and Perks: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
