Our Print to Mail area is responsible for overseeing the running of print jobs from batch computer systems.

Print output includes billing statements, policy documents and other important materials. Our team is responsible for ensuring that the machines are operating correctly, and that the output meets quality expectations.

This position will be located on-site at the Sentry Home Office in Stevens Point, WI and will be regularly scheduled to work Full-time 40 hours a week. The shift hours for the role will be 10:30pm-7:00am.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Print to Mail Operator, you will:

  • Monitor and operate the control console of a high-speed printer in accordance with operating instructions, to process data.
  • Respond to operating and computer output instructions. Use, monitors and modifies the inserter setups to process the daily work on the inserting machines. Accesses the reprint facility to reproduce damaged material for prompt turn around on time sensitive material.
  • Set up and operate Print to Mail equipment. Issue computer commands to control printer and insert operations. Make the necessary adjustments to assure the machinery runs smoothly and correctly. Set up forms as needed. Adjusts workflow during a run to ensure efficient processing. Refers more complicated problems to supervisor.
  • Assist in piece level reconciliation of inserter jobs by accurately utilizing inserter item reconciliation software.
  • Assume responsibility for quality control on all jobs, assuring they are completed in accordance with instructions. Errors in setups could result in considerable damage to the system, delays in time sensitive material, possible operator injury and/or expense to reproduce the materials.
  • Prioritize Print to Mail workflow. Assists in the coordinated effort to meet all established Print to Mail service level agreements daily.

What it Takes

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience
  • Previous data processing background through technical school training and experience as a Print to Mail operator is desired.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and peripheral equipment is essential. The ability to visualize the cause-and-effect relationships between the computer interface and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with RICOH print software is preferred
  • Strong knowledge and familiarly of Bowe inserters is preferred
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently, efficiently and accurately within time deadlines is required.
  • Able to control the inertia of a 1,000 pound roll of paper.
  • Ability to follow specific outlined procedures is required.
  • Knowledge of postal costs and discounts is helpful.
  • Effective communication and human relations skills are beneficial.
  • Must be available and flexible to work varied work weeks and hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Required wardrobe: Steel toe shoes
