Key Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure material availability to support production and engineering schedules.
  • Manage inventory levels, support material/product level revisions, and coordinate with suppliers ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor status of open orders to ensure on-time delivery, including timely resolution and communication.
  • Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule and/or inventory changes.
  • Manage and resolve issues regarding purchase order to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliers.
  • Provide back-up support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, recommending solutions, resources and alternative supply options.
  • Ensure and promote compliance with company and procurement policies and procedures.
  • Understand and comply with all FAR, DFAR, ITAR flow‑down requirements and import/export requirements.
  • Use procurement systems like Coupa, SAP & E2Open for order management and delivery metrics. Participate in Daily Deep Dive (DDD) meetings to report on procurement‑related metrics.
Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in buyer/planner/material scheduler role working for a direct manufacturer.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in industry and/or academia.
  • 1+ years experience with procurement systems or financial applications.
  • 1+ years of experience in forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management or warehousing disciplines.
  • 1+ years of experience with metrics creation or data presentation.
  • Export Control Requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to self‑direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and curious to learn new skills.
  • Experience establishing and employing demand‑pull material planning methods.

The base salary range for this position is listed below: 80,200.00 - 85,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
