At EBANX, we believe barriers were made to be broken. We started our story in Curitiba, Brazil, and today we are a global company, present in more than 29 countries, with offices in Curitiba, São Paulo, Shanghai, Singapore, and Johannesburg. In total, we are 700+ ebankers spread across the world, connecting companies like Uber, Netflix, Spotify, TikTok, Canva, Shopee, Meta, and Shein to millions of consumers in emerging markets—creating new opportunities and revolutionizing the future of digital payments.

Our mission is clear: to give global access to everyone. We are guided by the motto #TamoJunto, which translates into four key pillars: Shape Tomorrow, Evolve Fast, Make It Happen, and Unlock The World.

If you want to be part of a global company with accelerated growth that is shaping the future of digital payments, EBANX is the place for you.

At EBANX’s Product team you don’t just create features. You develop user-centered solutions that transform the experience of millions of consumers and global companies. Every product decision you make has a real impact on the future of digital payments, combining strategic vision, innovation, and collaboration to make our work truly Out Of The Ordinary.

As a Product Manager for Nigeria, you will develop user-centered solutions that transform the experience of global merchants in the African market. You will own the strategy and expansion of our local payment solutions, serving as the connective tissue across Engineering, Operations, and Regulatory teams. We are looking for a high-ownership, technical, and commercially aware PM ready to bridge time zones and navigate ambiguity to build local solutions with global impact.

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Working with a cross functional team to own the payment product roadmap for Nigeria — with a strong focus on local payment methods (LPMs) and Cards.  You'll need a clear end-to-end view of the transaction lifecycle..
  • Drive merchant-first integrations: define product specs, shape APIs, review technical docs, and lead solution design with engineering and other relevant cross functional teams.
  • Collaborate across functions — from Ops and Treasury to Growth and Sales Engineering — to deliver locally compliant, high-converting solutions.
  • Driving technical excellence in our integrations by ensuring clear documentation, backlog management, and seamless execution across squads.
  • Align internal and external teams around regional priorities, making sure product decisions reflect both business strategy and on-the-ground realities.
  • Use data to tell compelling stories that influence stakeholders across the organization, prioritize ruthlessly, write clear specs, run pilots, and ship improvements in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
  • Stay close to the market — understanding evolving consumers , regulations, new providers, and the competitive landscape in Nigeria.

Must-haves to shine in this role:

Core Experience:

  • Fluency in English — essential for working with regional partners and cross-functional global teams.
  • 3–6 years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or API-heavy products.
  • You've launched and scaled payment products from 0-1 to meaningful volume in emerging markets or regulated environments
  • Experience working with enterprise-scale merchants processing significant transaction volumes (millions in monthly payments) and comfortable operating in high-stakes environments.

Technical & Strategic:

  • A strong technical foundation — you're comfortable working with APIs, debugging / troubleshooting integration issues, and guiding technical discussions with engineers and external partners.
  • You've worked closely with external partners (PSPs, banks, payment providers) and know how to turn ambiguity into clear integration requirements.
  • You use data to drive decisions and influence without authority — turning insights into compelling narratives that align teams and drive product strategy.
  • You are familiar with roadmaps definition and backlog building, as well running ceremonies with Engineering squads

Customer & Market Focus:

  • You've conducted merchant interviews, gathered customer feedback, and used these insights to drive product decisions — you understand how to measure and communicate customer impact.
  • You understand how payment products affect merchant conversion, user experience, and business outcomes.

Execution & Leadership:

  • A bias for action. You unblock things. You don't wait for perfect conditions to make progress.
  • Great communication — whether it's aligning stakeholders, writing product docs, or jumping on a call with a bank to solve an edge case.
  • You're comfortable framing complex problems and influencing across teams to drive alignment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or high-growth companies.
  • Multicultural experience, working with globally distributed teams.
  • Passion for innovation, challenging the status quo, and driving transformative change.
  • Knowledge of global payment trends and regulations.
  • Extensive network within the global payments industry.

EBANX offers:

  • Performance Bonus: Annual bonus program based on company results.
  • Meal Allowance: Monthly allowance to support your meals.
  • EBANX Education: Financial assistance for undergraduate, graduate, and MBA programs to support your professional growth.
  • EBANX Skills: Dedicated budget for courses, certifications, and workshops to encourage continuous learning.
  • Language Classes: Language classes to support your personal and professional development.
  • Health & Well-being: Medical and dental plans with extensive coverage, including support for dependents and wellness programs.
Flexible Work Culture: Semi-flexible hours, additional day off on your birthday, and year-end break to support work-life balance.
  • Well-being Program: Access to activities and resources that promote physical and mental health.
