About the position

We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Project Manager who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running on time and within budget. The successful candidate would be based out of our Portland, OR office, in our PMCM group and would support a critical client's service area in the Pacific Northwest. Working alongside other project managers supporting an established program, you'll be responsible for coordinating and delivering a menu of Jacobs consulting and quality assurance services for various projects. You'll also participate in the planning of Design-Build projects from an Owner's Consultant perspective to ensure client goals and key objectives are accomplished within prescribed a time frame and funding parameters. As the Owner's Consultant, you'll be responsible for managing a new greenfield, maintenance headquarters project with an aggressive schedule, as well as managing smaller projects such as HVAC replacements, roof replacements and seismic upgrade type projects simultaneously. Facilities construction project experience is a must. Key responsibilities include supporting the client PMs/Contracting Officer Representatives through project life cycle (Planning and Scoping, Design, Construction, Closeout) and pulling together the Jacobs team members required to deliver the task order specific services. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver Jacobs consulting and quality assurance services for various projects.
  • Participate in the planning of Design-Build projects from an Owner's Consultant perspective.
  • Manage a new greenfield maintenance headquarters project with an aggressive schedule.
  • Simultaneously manage smaller projects such as HVAC replacements, roof replacements, and seismic upgrades.
  • Support client PMs/Contracting Officer Representatives through project life cycle (Planning and Scoping, Design, Construction, Closeout).
  • Pull together Jacobs team members required to deliver task order specific services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture.
  • 10+ years experience of combined Project Management, Construction Management and Engineering Management.
  • Facilities Construction and Refurbishment project experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
  • Strong project controls, cost estimate review experience, specifically with review and administration of GMP contracts.
  • Change management experience.
  • Strong project delivery experience and comfortable acting in a consulting role providing guidance and recommendations to project team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Design-Build.
  • Progressive Design-Build delivery experience.
  • Design Build Institute of America certification or ability to attain certification.
