Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Illinois (Remote)
Location: Remote (Must be licensed in Illinois)
Job Type: Part-time / PRN
Compensation: Pay per session
Schedule: Flexible; Evening and weekend availability preferred.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Illinois to join our fully remote psychiatry team. In this role, you will deliver virtual psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management while collaborating with an interdisciplinary clinical team to provide integrated mental health care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth
  • Diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and related conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and provide medication management
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated
  • Collaborate with therapists and other providers to ensure coordinated, holistic care
  • Educate clients on diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and coping strategies
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and Illinois regulations
  • Stay current with best practices in psychiatric care and telehealth services

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner specialization
  • Current, unrestricted Illinois APRN license (required)
  • PMHNP certification (required)
  • Fully independently licensed to practice in Illinois
  • Experience in psychiatric or mental health care, including medication management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport in a virtual setting
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with telemedicine platforms and EHR systems preferred
