Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance to women and children in refuge. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing environment and supporting vulnerable women and children's individual needs. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on lives.

Duties

  • Assist women and children with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Support the residents in implementing care plans tailored to their specific needs
  • Engage in play and educational activities with Kids
  • Maintain clear communication with families, colleagues, and other professionals involved with residents of refuge
  • Support residents during transitions and help them adapt to different environments
  • Assist with benefits , housing applications for the residents

Experience

  • Prior experience is preferred not mandatory
  • Knowledge of childcare practices and child development principles
  • Experience with creating or following care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with vulnerable women and children, families, and team members
  • Proficiency in IT for documentation and reporting purposes

This role offers an enriching environment for those passionate about supporting women and children’s growth and development. Successful candidates will demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent organisational skills, ensuring they can effectively contribute to the wellbeing of the fanlies they support.

This role is for female only due to the nature of work for female domestic violence victims

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.69 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
