Immediate opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) working for a high paced, boutique, dermatology practice. Experience with Dermatology and Scribing using Modernizing Medicine's EMA solution is a plus. Strong knowledge of Carecloud.
Qualified candidates are great with dealing with people, experienced with medical environment, able to maintain confidential patient records and have great time management skills. Candidates must be comfortable working on general PC office computer programs and iPad.
Day to day responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Provide exceptional and attentive care to patients

  • Assist the dermatologist during examinations and procedures/treatments

  • Prepare and perform cosmetic procedures - lasers, botox, fillers. In charge of treating patients with various lasers such a laser hair removal, Fraxel, Aerolase, RF, others

  • Room patients, take histories, record in the electronic medical records.

  • Check that lab results, culture results, etc. are in the chart.
  • Handle/process specimens and send specimens to the laboratory with necessary, accurate paperwork.
  • Knowledge of healthcare administrative systems, HIPAA & OSHA policies
  • Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems preferred
  • Educate patient in preparation for procedures and post-op care as required
  • Respond to phone calls for test results, medication refills, post-operative care, etc.
  • Must be an engaging and professional communicator with excellent phone and e-mail etiquette.
  • Must be computer savvy and strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Prefer prior experience working in a dermatology / medical environment.
  • Must have strong understanding and execution of provider consistency.
  • Must exude strong, constructive and positive view of company culture.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order.
  • Back office stocking and inventory

Must be a professional and great communicator, team player with a great attitude.
At least 1-2 year experience with EMR within a medical practice required. Dermatology experience is a must.

Salary: $90,000 - $98,000 /annual based on experience
