Job Summary

Integral member of the Clinical Informatics department, tasked with supporting the management of clinical content and aiding in facilitating coordination efforts. Works closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and collaborates with Epic Informaticist, Application Analyst and fellow Clinical Informatics team members during content evaluation and design.

Essential Functions

  • Managing clinical content (e.g. order sets), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through routine review and updating activities.

  • Facilitate multidisciplinary team evaluations and decision-making processes to drive consensus, fostering collaboration and alignment to achieve clinical, operational, and organizational objectives.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of system capabilities to support end users in navigating technical systems. Provide guidance to subject matter experts and clinical operational users on integrating technical systems with workflows.

  • Advocate for user needs and ensure compliance with IT systems, Joint Commission, HIPAA guidelines, and Prisma Health policies.

  • Participate in projects related to clinical information systems, quality improvement, and operational process enhancement, contributing to project management activities and stakeholder engagement efforts.

  • Assist in developing and implementing clinical best practice standards to support data reporting requirements and continuity of care. Serve as an end user testing to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

  • Follow change management and documentation processes, providing clear documentation for support, status updates, and issue resolutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support plans and end user education.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Nursing

  • Experience - Three (3) years of experience in nursing, clinical informatics, quality improvement, or healthcare operations

In Lieu Of

  • In lieu of the BSN requirement above, a nursing diploma or an Associate degree in Nursing may be considered if the applicant signs a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to enroll in an accredited BSN or MSN program within one year and obtain a BSN or MSN degree within four (4) years.

  • In lieu of the BSN requirement above, will accept a Master's degree in a related field.

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • Holds a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working.
