Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Accountant to join our team. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general accounts monthly.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Perform regular internal audits to identify discrepancies and improve financial processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Maintain records of all financial transactions in accordance with the companys policies and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in accounting or finance-related roles, preferably in a remote capacity.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools).
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Experience

Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours, with an expectation of 40 hours per week.
  • Must be available to communicate during regular business hours in Malaysia (9 AM to 6 PM GMT+8).
  • Occasional meetings may be scheduled depending on the business requirements.
