They are seeking an AI Adoption, Content & Community Manager for Government Engagement & Enablement to help public servants harness AI, build communities, and create educational content. This role involves training, community building, and developing government-specific content to enhance AI adoption in public service.


Responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on trainings and workshops to help government users get confident with ChatGPT
  • Develop lightweight, scalable learning experiences that reduce risk, set expectations, and inspire responsible use
  • Help smaller government customers get onboard and drive their practical use of ChatGPT
  • Continuously refine OpenAI for Governments customer-facing content based on feedback, usage patterns, and evolving customer needs
  • Create operational cadences that include gathering customer feedback across OpenAI for Government to provide back to the product team and others about what we are hearing from our customer base
  • Capture all trainings and enablement sessions with customers and training feedback and work with teams to identify where we need to pivot or hone our approaches
  • Serve as an in-house expert to government customers looking for expert insight and advice on creating great customer employee/workforce communications campaigns to drive ChatGPT confidence and use
  • Be a point of escalation for customers having issues and getting them the support they need
  • Design and grow communities of practice across state, local, federal, and international governments, including location, role-based and mission-based communities
  • Create, contribute, and maintain OpenAI for Governments contributions to spaces (virtual and in-person) where public servants can learn from each other, share use cases, and feel supported on their AI journey
  • Create delightful experiences and engagements for customers
  • Act as a trusted, empathetic presence for government users — understanding their constraints, motivations, and missions
  • Be the beating heart, the “Chief Encourager” to help make sure every public servant who engages OpenAI feels seen and appreciated
  • Serve as the source of truth for maintaining government-focused content, including training materials, enablement guides, playbooks, FAQs, customer impact stories, and messaging
  • Constantly create new content, looking for ways to make information more sticky, more dynamic, as well as more digestible and simple
  • Translate complex AI concepts into clear, compelling, and accessible language for public servants at every level
  • Write high-quality copy across formats: training content, event materials, emails, articles, social posts, community updates, case studies, speeches, presentations, and internal briefs, working as a POC with the GA, Communications, and Marketing teams as needed
  • Support OpenAI for Government leaders with compelling presentations, videos, slides and other material to prepare them and deliver memorable moments
  • Take materials created by others and help upgrade the design and aesthetic supporting the in-house design, brand, and resource teams as well as outside vendors
  • Plan and execute government-focused events: workshops, listening tours, roundtables, panels, hackathons, community showcases, and more
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Product, GA, Readiness and Marketing to deliver cohesive, high-impact experiences
  • Ensure every event leaves participants feeling smarter, more capable, and genuinely excited about what AI can do for their mission
  • Create new and exciting SWAG, and other physical elements to ensure OAI leaves a lasting impression
  • Highlight and celebrate government “wins,” champions, and creative uses of ChatGPT
  • Build recognition mechanisms for government adoption of AI that rewards curiosity, experimentation, and impact
  • Be a master at amplifying others — making customers and colleagues the heroes of the story
  • Create and maintain the customer impact story repository, and feed impact stories through the OAI, including updating core materials with inspirational examples
  • Record and help customers, colleagues, and OAI leaders record multi-media content including videos, podcast, and other recordings
  • Build repeatable, scalable processes for content creation, community engagement, and training delivery
  • Track engagement and adoption signals to understand what’s working and where to iterate
  • Use tools and automation (including ChatGPT itself) to move fast without losing quality
  • Systematize the creation of new feature content as well as updates across newsletters, emails, community site, Academy, customer trainings and all content

Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in technology adoption enablement and training, community management, communications, marketing, education, or related roles — ideally around AI and with complex or mission-driven organizations
  • Government experience or deep government adjacency (public sector roles, contractors, NGOs, civic tech, policy, or government-focused companies)
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills — you can make complicated things simple and inspiring
  • Proven ability to plan and run events that people actually want to attend
  • Comfort training and speaking to groups — from frontline practitioners to senior leaders
  • A collaborative, low-ego working style — you genuinely enjoy 'giving away the win' people want you in the room with them, your positivity and enthusiasm is infectious
  • Deep curiosity and enthusiasm for AI — you are a power user of ChatGPT and are constantly exploring what's possible
  • Strong empathy for public servants and respect for the constraints they operate under
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and keep many moving pieces aligned
  • Experience supporting large-scale technology adoption (AI) or behavior change
  • Familiarity with state, local, federal, or international government ecosystems
  • Background in education, training design, or enablement programs
  • Experience with event creation and management
  • Experience building champion networks, communities of practice, or peer-learning programs
  • Experience with selling and organization a business to sell, regardless of product or industry
