Altria is a company focused on innovation and change, seeking an enthusiastic Associate Specialist in Customer Supply Chain to join their Customer Solutions team. This role involves supporting customers by improving service and value within the supply chain through problem-solving and relationship-building.


Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance performance through proactive problem-solving and innovation
  • Develop and grow relationships with Direct Customers and AGDC Field Sales
  • Build a strong understanding of AGDC’s end-to-end supply chain operations and actively apply this knowledge to support our customers effectively
  • Drive value for direct customers by understanding their ordering patterns and inventory needs — and proposing smart, creative distribution solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements
  • Use our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to log and track customer interactions, analyze the data to surface trends, and drive actions that remove pain points across the supply chain
  • Partner daily with Direct Customers and AGDC Field Sales via phone and email to resolve complex business issues in a timely, high-quality manner
  • Own service exception management by digging into details, identifying the root cause, and determining the best path forward
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with Direct Customers, Field Sales, 3rd-party vendors, and Altria operating and service companies to create solutions
  • Perform SAP data entry related to customer activities with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Identify and champion opportunities for optimization of AGDC’s finished goods distribution network, systems, and order-to-cash processes

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; Business Management with a focus in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic, changing environment, using strong judgment and critical thinking to navigate uncertainty
  • Confident and curious when engaging across multiple organizational levels, asking thoughtful questions to fully understand issues and drive alignment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate insights clearly and structure thinking in an organized, disciplined way
  • Problem solving and analytical capabilities to identify root problems and continuously improve processes
  • Proven ability to build strong, positive working relationships and contribute as a supportive, reliable teammate in a collaborative environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP CRM) and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies
