Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Bizjet Law is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to support an active and growing commercial litigation practice. This role involves managing case workflows, meeting deadlines, and contributing to litigation strategy and execution. Responsibilities • Manage multiple active litigation matters from intake through resolution • Monitor court dockets and identify upcoming deadlines or procedural requirements • Track deadlines across state and federal courts and ensure compliance with court rules • Maintain organized electronic case files, chronologies, and case summaries • Proactively communicate status updates, risks, and next steps to attorneys • Identify gaps, procedural issues, or inefficiencies before they escalate • Draft and revise pleadings, motions, notices, declarations, and discovery documents • Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and investigative timelines • Assist with appellate-related tasks, including appendices, record organization, cite checking, and deadline coordination • Conduct legal and procedural research, including court rules and standing orders • Review filings and briefs for accuracy, formatting, and citation compliance • Manage discovery processes from start to finish • Organize and review document productions and privilege considerations • Track discovery deadlines and coordinate timely responses • Prepare summaries, indices, and evidentiary materials • Keep discovery moving without requiring constant attorney direction • File documents in state and federal courts using electronic filing systems • Address and correct rejected filings promptly • Monitor filing status post-submission and confirm acceptance • Learn and apply court-specific rules in new jurisdictions as needed • Prepare damages summaries, financial breakdowns, or valuation schedules used in filings, mediations, or negotiations • Gather, organize, and verify financial data for completeness and accuracy • Use spreadsheets, AI or other tools to support numerical analysis • Assist with trial preparation as needed, including exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders • Support pre-trial filings, motions in limine, and organizational logistics • Create or improve workflows, templates, or systems that enhance litigation efficiency • Take initiative to improve organization, tracking, and internal processes • Learn new areas of law, procedure, or technology to support litigation needs Skills • 10 plus years within the last 15 years of commercial or business litigation experience • Experience using Everlaw or similar e-discovery platforms to manage document review, tagging, production, and case analysis • Strong understanding of litigation workflows, discovery, and court procedures • Experience filing in state and federal courts • Ability to manage multiple matters independently • High attention to detail and reliability under deadline pressure • Strong written communication and drafting skills • Comfort working remotely with minimal supervision • Demonstrated ability to use advanced AI based tools to improve efficiency, organization, and consistency • Comfort learning new jurisdictions and court systems quickly • Experience with damages summaries or financial analyses • Experience using Bloomberg Law, Westlaw or CoCounsel for litigation research, docket tracking, and court rule analysis Benefits • Full-time salaried with benefits or compensation in lieu of benefits • Full-time hourly arrangements may be considered Company Overview • Our team combines sophisticated transactional capabilities with extensive regulatory knowledge to deliver high-caliber results to both aviation clients as well as clients leveraging aviation.
