Key Responsibilities Answering inbound calls with professionalism and empathy, ensuring callers receive the assistance they need. Providing accurate information in accordance with established policies, procedures, and privacy laws. Assisting customers with program enrollment and routing them to appropriate contacts via three-way calls. Facilitating communication needs, including relay services for callers with speech or hearing impairments and translation services for non-English speakers. Placing outbound calls as necessary to share time-sensitive information with customers. Utilizing multiple computer systems to access data and document information efficiently. Essential Qualifications and Skills To excel in this role, you'll need: At least one year of customer service experience, with knowledge of public benefit programs and experience in health or human services being a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with great active listening skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in PC skills, with the ability to quickly learn new computer applications. A positive attitude, empathy, patience, and professionalism. The ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and stay updated on applicable programs, policies, and procedures. Your Home Office Setup To work effectively as a Remote Customer Support Representative, you'll need: A computer with Windows 10 or 11, 8GB of RAM, and at least 500MB of free hard drive space. Up-to-date antivirus software and access to high-speed, hardwired internet. Dual monitors, a USB noise-cancelling headset, and a webcam for certification purposes. Flexible Scheduling and Operational Hours This role offers the flexibility to choose your work hours within the client's operational schedule: Monday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET Wednesday: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM ET Thursday and Friday: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM ET While you're encouraged to work around your other commitments, there is a requirement to service at least 5 hours on Mondays and 4 hours on Tuesdays due to the higher volume of calls on these days.
