Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Slack workspaces, channels, user permissions, and integrations
  • Monitor system health, identify and solve issues, and uphold conformity with organization policies
  • Lead app integrations, bots, and workflows to support business needs
  • Develop and implement automated workflows using Slack’s Workflow Builder, APIs, and third-party tools
  • Explore and integrate AI-powered solutions (e.g., chatbots, summarization tools, sentiment analysis) to improve communication and efficiency
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven enhancements
  • Implement foundations security principles, including identity management, data retention, and audit logging
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Provide Tier 2 support for Slack-related issues
  • Develop documentation and deliver training sessions for end-users on Slack features and automation capabilities
  • Know the latest Slack updates, AI trends, and automation technologies
  • Recommend and implement improvements to optimize collaboration and productivity

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing Slack in a corporate environment
  • Foundational knowledge of administering and securing cloud-based applications and services
  • Solid grasp of Slack APIs, Workflow Builder, and integration capabilities
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation
  • Knowledge of AI concepts and practical applications in collaboration tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with enterprise identity management (SSO, SCIM)
  • Experience with scripting application automations using application APIs
  • Exposure to AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, or similar)
  • Background in IT service management and security standard methodologies
