Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Anthropologie Weddings is seeking an accomplished, commercially focused Sales Director to spearhead their domestic Active Majors. This role involves defining and implementing wholesale strategies while managing key partnerships to achieve market penetration and profitability.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and drive business specifically for "Active Major" accounts, including Dick's Sporting Goods, Scheel’s, and REI
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to maximize all additional opportunities/collaborations within existing accounts
  • Analyze the marketplace to find new wholesale partners within the Active Majors space
  • Negotiate and manage all commercial terms and vendor agreements
  • Produce detailed budgeting and forecasting plans and strategies for short, medium, and long-term wholesale business growth
  • Monitor and control key business drivers to grow profitability and achieve greater operational efficiencies, consistently maintaining gross margins
  • Manage margin in collaboration with cross functional teams
  • Oversee logistics and credit control to ensure timely deliveries, payment status, and critical path implementation
  • Collaborate closely with creative partners on product development, ensuring market and account-specific needs are met for key activewear partners
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic wholesale decisions and identify new opportunities
  • Lead buying conferences and run product training sessions
  • Provide meaningful updates to the Leadership Team (LT) on new business partnerships, challenges, and successes
  • Undertake extensive travel to relevant key markets across the United States

Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in the Activewear wholesale sector
  • Proven track record of developing wholesale strategies, entering new markets, and achieving profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities and grow existing partnerships, including securing major accounts
  • Strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and margin management capabilities
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills to manage vendor agreements and build strategic partnerships
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships and work across functions (design, production, logistics, credit control)
  • Deep understanding of the domestic activewear market and experience securing major partnerships with key retailers
  • Experience leading a team of two or more. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
