Qdoba Restaurant Corporation is seeking a Franchise Business Consultant, Non-Traditional who will act as a strategic field leader responsible for protecting and elevating the QDOBA brand. The role involves supporting franchisees and non-traditional operations, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining brand standards across various environments.


Responsibilities

  • Protects the integrity of the QDOBA brand by ensuring consistent execution of brand standards, procedures, and operating systems across non-traditional and assigned traditional restaurants
  • Serves as a brand standards, procedures, and systems expert, supporting partners in navigating venue-specific constraints while maintaining brand integrity
  • Conducts regular operational visits and assessments; provides clear written and verbal feedback with actionable improvement plans
  • Ensures excellence in Hospitality, Culinary execution, food safety, cleanliness, accuracy, and speed of service within varied operating environments
  • Ensures effective execution of national promotions, local marketing initiatives, new product rollouts, and operational process changes
  • Acts as the primary liaison between QDOBA and non-traditional franchisees, contractors, and license partners, connecting partners with appropriate brand resources and subject matter experts
  • Coaches franchise owners, license partners, and restaurant leadership teams to strengthen leadership capability and execution while maintaining appropriate joint-employer boundaries
  • Ensures partners are effectively utilizing QDOBA people, training, and performance systems that support a healthy culture and consistent execution
  • Supports identification, readiness, and ongoing oversight of Certified Training Restaurants
  • Provides guidance and support for New Restaurant Openings, including pre-opening readiness, training systems, food safety, and execution at standard
  • Evaluates partner performance using QDOBA systems and metrics; consults to improve sales, transactions, and profitability
  • Conducts annual Business Reviews with assigned franchise and license partners
  • Partners cross-functionally with Operations, Training, Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, Design, and Construction teams
  • Maintains accurate documentation of evaluations, correspondence, and action plans; ensures compliance with brand and food safety requirements

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Valid Food Safety certification required or ability to obtain
  • 5+ years of multi-unit restaurant operations or franchise/licensed operations experience
  • Deep operational knowledge of restaurant systems and brand standards
  • Strong understanding of franchise, license, and contractor operating models
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • High integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, highly variable operating environments
  • Proficient knowledge of personal computers and related software applications, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to speak and hear clearly in person and on the telephone
  • Ability to operate a computer, including desktop, laptop, or tablet devices
  • Ability to travel extensively as business needs require
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours as needed
  • Business, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Non-traditional or licensed restaurant experience strongly preferred
