They are seeking an intern for their Health Literacy & Plain Language Center of Excellence to support initiatives aimed at making the organization more health literate and to gain practical experience in translating complex scientific information into accessible messaging.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in mapping and analyzing current function-specific processes as they relate to the creation of patient-facing content
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and ensure alignment on any new initiatives
  • Participate in planning meetings and strengthen project management skills
  • Document learnings and propose recommendations for process improvements

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driven and motivated to learn and contribute to the team in a fun, collaborative environment
  • Someone who is a self-starter and can progress deliverables independently
  • Good attention to detail, ability to analyze complex data sets and present crisp and concise updates
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship
  • Preferred majors/programs: Biotechnology, Clinical Trials, Health Sciences, Health Literacy, Health Communications, other STEM-related programs
