Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Windstream provides high-speed broadband Internet, phone service, and Digital TV packages to residential customers as well as products and services for small, medium, and large businesses. The Field Sales Director will manage and develop managers and front-line sellers in the SMB business segment, delivering assigned revenue and new logo growth while providing direction to the sales team.


Responsibilities

  • Develop a high volume B2B sales culture, providing strong leadership and direction. Exercise sound judgement and discretion in matters of significance
  • Leads by example and follow the Uniti values blueprint
  • Coaches’ managers provide positive feedback, and areas of improvement. Follows Uniti performance metrics including termination as needed
  • Manages SMB channel sales ensuring budgeted sales targets are met. Guide assigned team to ensure efficiency, reducing cost and elevating operational performance
  • Drive community engagement within the assigned footprint via marketing events, chamber meetings, etc
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales support, marketing, product teams, and leadership to remove roadblocks and accelerate customer success
  • Represent the brand in the field with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a deep knowledge of our products, services, and competitive landscape
  • Maintain accurate pipeline updates in CRM systems. Conduct regular funnel and quarterly business reviews
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills

  • College degree or equivalent and 10+ years professional experience with 2+ years supervisory experience; or 12+ years professional level equivalent related experience with 2+ years supervisory experience; or a combination of education and related professional experience
  • A proven track record of success in B2B or SMB sales, preferably in a highly transactional field-based environment
  • Confidence in coaching and developing managers/ supervisors
  • Support a culture of empowerment and inclusion with how you lead
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, backed by a consultative approach that puts the customers' needs first
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • A self-starter mindset with the drive to manage your own schedule, and activity plan without constant supervision
  • A passion for building relationships and a genuine interest in helping grow the SMB segment
  • Resilience and grit, especially when working toward ambitious monthly targets and navigating a competitive market
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout your assigned territory to meet customers where they are
