The role involves implementing manufacturing processes, conducting time studies, and supporting continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and improve working conditions.


Responsibilities

  • Develops activities such as: Cycle time reduction, worker effort and inventory reduction, floor improvement, to improve work conditions, reducing or eliminating waste
  • Give follow up to activities such as: Cycle time reduction, worker effort and inventory reduction, floor improvement, to improve work conditions, reducing or eliminating waste, using the 7 waste reduction forms
  • Analyze the process to determine the adequate work conditions, related to space, layouts, lighting, breaks, manpower, tools and equipment
  • Support activities to complete time studies, slip weight, glaze weight, fired weight, pack weight are updated in both Plants to determine the cost of each product
  • Support activities during the KOS events and support all the teams on the methodology application
  • Maintain Standard Work studies updated with no more than 1 years old
  • Maintain the Layered Process Audit updated and standardized
  • Give follow up to achieve KOS Savings goals and report savings in monthly basis, achieve the goals and create new list for every year
  • Provide support to all areas in the plant on structural fabrication to improve productivity, safety and quality (Kaizen Team)
  • Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position)

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Five years of related experience
  • Ability to understand SAP and VIS systems
  • Standard Cost and BOM structure
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Lean Tools knowledge
