Sales Associate — National Deposits Group (NDG)

The Sales Associate for Huntington’s National Deposits Group (NDG) will support a high-performing team of Senior Business Development Bankers driving growth, cultivating strategic relationships, and expanding deposit portfolios. This role is integral to NDG’s success, partnering with sales leadership to manage the sales process, conduct market research, support prospecting and outreach, assist with proposal preparation, and help deepen client relationships across target segments including specialty deposit clients, institutional partners, and strategic prospects. The ideal candidate blends analytical capability with strong communication skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about contributing meaningfully to revenue generation and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Senior Business Development Bankers to identify and qualify new business opportunities across target industries and client segments.
  • Support sales initiatives by conducting market research, preparing lists of prospects, and analyzing competitive landscapes.
  • Assist in creating compelling sales materials, presentations, proposals, and customized client deliverables.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts, including email campaigns, scheduling calls/meetings, and following up with prospects in a timely manner.
  • Manage CRM data entry and ensure accurate tracking of sales activities, pipeline progression, and client interaction notes.
  • Prepare internal and external reporting on sales performance, prospect engagement metrics, and key business development insights.
  • Help maintain and strengthen client relationships by providing responsive support, anticipating needs, and assisting with ongoing client requests.
  • Participate in internal sales meetings, forecasting discussions, and strategic planning sessions to align on goals and initiatives.
  • Support onboarding of new clients, including documentation preparation, coordination with operations/credit teams, and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with product partners, risk, compliance, and delivery teams to expedite client solutions and proposals.
  • Stay current on industry trends, deposit products, regulatory developments, and competitive offerings relevant to NDG sales strategies.
  • Represent Huntington’s brand professionally and ethically in all communications with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to run client facing demo’s of the banking software as needed for the respective Senior Business Development officers.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales support, business development, banking, or financial services


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in sales support, business development, banking, or financial services.
  • Ability to work non-standard business hours as necessary
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Understanding of Treasury Management processes/tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
