The Senior Manager, US Public Sector Security Compliance, will lead efforts to achieve and maintain compliance with key US regulatory frameworks while collaborating across various teams to deliver secure solutions to government customers.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee US Public Sector security compliance strategies for FedRAMP, DoD SRG, CMMC, GovRAMP, TX-RAMP, SSDF, etc., ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Lead authorization strategy efforts to unify the way Cisco delivers compliant solutions to the DoD and the rest of the USG
  • Leverage and lead the strategic implementation of the latest FedRAMP 20x standards to optimize compliance strategy
  • Drive re-alignment of authorization boundaries to minimize compliance burden
  • Drive strategic approach to streamline FedRAMP and DoD CC SRG sponsorship
  • Lead the collaboration with business unit engineering teams to build the mechanisms required to achieve FedRAMP 20x authorization
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, and legal teams to support public sector market entry
  • Drive automation and AI initiatives to enhance compliance efficiency and consistency
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and third-party auditors
  • Develop compliance roadmaps and execution plans to meet evolving regulatory requirements
  • Provide expert guidance on compliance-related matters to internal stakeholders
  • Implement best practices and tools to standardize compliance processes

Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in public sector compliance, expertise in DoD SRG, NIST RMF, FISMA, FedRAMP, OR related frameworks
  • 3+ years experience leading public sector compliance initiatives at a Cloud Service Provider serving the USG
  • Strong understanding of DoD and US government security and compliance requirements
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • 2+ years Experience with automation technologies to streamline compliance efforts (e.g., OSCAL) leading teams that produce machine-readable OSCAL authorization documentation
  • Deep expertise in US public sector security compliance
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and provide strategic direction
  • Skilled in collaborating across diverse teams and influencing stakeholders
  • Experience in managing security compliance programs and driving continuous improvement for cloud service providers
  • Proactive in identifying regulatory changes and translating them into business opportunities
