Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments to accurately diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across various age groups.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and goals tailored to client needs, ensuring cultural and linguistic appropriateness.
  • Deliver engaging, effective, and interactive tele-therapy sessions using secure and user-friendly digital platforms.
  • Monitor client progress regularly, meticulously document all interactions, therapy outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize results.
  • Educate and collaborate closely with clients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and home practice programs.
  • Maintain up-to-date, confidential client records in strict compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate actively in virtual case conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, and continuous professional development activities to enhance skills.
  • Stay current with best practices, cutting-edge research, and advancements in speech-language pathology and tele-health methodologies.
  • Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) of Singapore.

Required Skills

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent qualification.
  • Full and valid registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) of Singapore.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting virtual assessments and delivering effective tele-therapy sessions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding empathy, patience, and interpersonal skills to build rapport remotely.
  • Competency in using various tele-health platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic health records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse age groups and a wide range of communication disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, aphasia, dysphagia, stuttering).
  • Certification or specialized training in specific assessment or intervention approaches (e.g., Hanen, PECS, PROMPT, LSVT LOUD).
  • Fluency in additional official languages of Singapore (e.g., Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) to better serve our multicultural population.
  • Prior experience in a fully remote or home-based therapy setting, demonstrating strong self-management and independence.
