Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Senior Application Developer to develop new software applications and update existing ones. The role involves customizing software, designing prototypes, implementing and testing code, and troubleshooting applications while adhering to Rush's mission and policies.


Responsibilities

  • Handles complex work critical to the organization
  • Develops software applications to meet customer needs
  • Understands and follows through with business requirements during all phases of development
  • Transforms design into functionality; tests and maintains layout and other components to enhance user-experience
  • Implements software applications
  • Supports software applications
  • Continuously maintains; tests and troubleshoots issues and problems
  • Creates installation, troubleshooting, and end user documentation
  • Provides support and follow-up for issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor degree
  • 5 years of experience on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Service - Oriented Architecture (SOA), Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), UML and J2EE Architecture
  • System Analysis and/or application support experience (5 years)
  • 3 or more years experience with developing Android/IOS applications
  • Experience utilizing techniques and tools including HTML, CSS, .NET, SQL or JavaScript
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries
  • Experience with scrum and other agile based methodology of software development
  • Security, Privacy, and Regulatory/HPIAA Compliance Healthcare Environment Experience
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, multi-tasking and problem solving skills
  • 1-3 years experience developing Flutter Applications
  • 1+ years Experience with Epic (EMR) MyChart development
  • Familiarity with FHIR
