Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Part-Time Retail Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with merchandising, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be multilingual if possible, and have a keen eye for detail. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop retail experience within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers warmly and assisting with their enquiries
  • Maintaining attractive product displays and merchandising standards
  • Operating the till efficiently and accurately, including processing transactions and handling cash or card payments
  • Upselling products to maximise sales opportunities
  • Providing excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls
  • Managing stock levels and organising stockroom areas
  • Assisting with organising store layout and visual presentation
  • Supporting team members during busy periods to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring the store remains clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and friendly phone etiquette
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during shifts
  • Experience in retail or merchandising is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are considered a plus
