About the position

The Sales Executive - New Business is a field-based role focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities with customers who have not previously engaged with Autodesk's products. This position emphasizes strategic territory management, relationship building, and closing sales to drive customer satisfaction and contribute to Autodesk's business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory-specific plans to expand the customer base in untapped markets.
  • Engage new customers through various channels including inbound leads, networking, and social media.
  • Establish initial contact with potential customers, identify their needs, and customize solutions.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, market activities, and competitors to pinpoint opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as customer success and marketing to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
  • Maintain and report sales metrics to leadership, ensuring data within the CRM tool is current.
  • Collaborate with different internal customer-facing teams to align strategies and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience selling SaaS/Cloud-based solutions in the field.
  • Experience in new customer / new logo acquisition.
  • Experience in Outcome-based Solution Selling.
  • Business fluency in English, additional languages is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years strategic sales experience in the software industry.
  • Experienced in creating strategic plans in a matrixed environment.
  • Proven sales record in quota carrying roles managing a pipeline as an individual contributor.
  • Strong sales and account planning process knowledge.
