In this field‑based role, you will build strong relationships with academic research customers, aligning their scientific goals with QIAGEN’s Sample‑to‑Insight solutions. If you are motivated by shaping scientific success, managing complex commercial engagements and growing a high‑potential region, this opportunity offers a dynamic and rewarding environment. Your tasks Achieve budget within the London territory: you will bring a high level of business development experience to implement strategic business plans at higher levels within organisations. Clearly identify and interpret customer needs, shape and align their requirements to the capabilities of QIAGEN and position our solutions effectively. Support customers throughout the full sales cycle: product demonstrations, customer training, tender processes, contract negotiation and timely deal closure. Build long‑term customer relationships and support accounts throughout the product lifecycle to maintain a customer‑centric experience. Maintain and expand relevant market knowledge including life science technology trends, commercial awareness of competitors, and latest scientific findings to support strategic account growth. Provide accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts and maintain up‑to‑date activity records in the CRM system. Organise weekly field activities and manage an efficient travel schedule across the London territory. Your profile Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required; a PhD and/or equivalent laboratory experience is highly advantageous. Strong technical aptitude in molecular biology applications, including DNA/RNA purification, PCR, NGS and digital PCR with prior exposure to QIAGEN solutions. Proven relevant experience in Life Science sales, including complex sales cycles, capital equipment sales and strategic account planning with knowledge of relevant markets. Experience of creating and executing strategic business plans in a proactive manner, without considerable direction, to accomplish the planned goals. Demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment and solve challenges proactively with a solution‑oriented mindset.
