We're seeking a Senior eCommerce Platform & Merchandising Analyst who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and digital merchandising. This hybrid role will drive smarter, scalable merchandising decisions while optimizing the tools, platforms, and systems that power the online customer experience. You'll own the merchandising calendar and content execution, while also identifying and implementing process improvements through automation, platform enhancements, and technical integrations. This role works cross-functionally with eCommerce product management, engineering, UX/design, and marketing to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and deliver a high-performing, seamless site experience. The ideal candidate is analytical, logical, technically savvy, and curious - someone who thinks like a product manager but has hands-on merchandising experience and a strong understanding of system behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data-driven merchandising strategies to increase sales, improve product discovery, and optimize conversion.
  • Own and manage the eCommerce merchandising calendar, aligning launches, promotions, and content updates with business goals.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to optimize CMS functionality, site templates, and merchandising tools (e.g., through requirement definition, testing, and UAT).
  • Streamline workflows by identifying and implementing automation, API-driven solutions, and scalable tooling.
  • Proactively identify technical and operational opportunities to reduce manual work, improve efficiency, and drive business value.
  • Monitor and analyze site performance and campaign results, translating insights into actionable strategies and reporting.
  • Collaborate with UX and design to drive content personalization, guided selling, and improved on-site experiences.
  • Ensure accurate, timely execution of merchandising updates, including product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotions.
  • Partner with internal teams to maintain product data accuracy across pricing, inventory, copy, and assets.
  • Support A/B testing, feature rollouts, platform enhancements, and other cross-functional initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, tools, and technologies to continuously elevate merchandising effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Business analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce merchandising, site operations, product/platform optimization, or digital commerce roles.
  • A strong analytical mindset - able to frame ambiguous problems, analyze data, and develop clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience working in or alongside product teams; familiarity with product management principles and tools (e.g., Jira) preferred.
  • Comfortable with APIs and automation tools to streamline workflows and integrate systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize processes and implement scalable, repeatable merchandising systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high standard for executional excellence.
  • Self-starter with a bias for action and the ability to independently identify and solve problems.
  • Highly logical, curious, and eager to learn new systems, tools, and technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with API integrations, workflow automation, or CMS optimization projects.
  • Background in eCommerce product management or technical feature implementation.
  • Experience leading or participating in data movement, platform integration, or content system upgrades.
  • Working knowledge of headless CMS platforms (Contentstack experience is a strong plus).
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with data tools such as Looker, GA4, or SQL.
