This role is aligned to defense, military, and DoD investigative organizations and requires a proven track record selling into agencies such as the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, Army National Guard, DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3), Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), and the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI).</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Develop, refine, and execute annual and quarterly territory business plans aligned to corporate objectives and Department of Defense priorities.</li><li>Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within DoD branches, commands, investigative units, and security organizations.</li><li>Qualify inbound marketing leads and assess new sales opportunities to ensure alignment with mission needs across operational, investigative, and cyber units.</li><li>Prepare, deliver, and facilitate customer-facing presentations and in-theater engagements with both technical and command-level stakeholders.</li><li>Coordinate and support technical demonstrations in partnership with internal technical, engineering, and solutions teams.</li><li>Manage the full trial lifecycle to ensure a seamless and mission-aligned evaluation experience for DoD customers.</li><li>Execute accurate quoting and pricing activities and maintain complete sales records to satisfy internal controls and federal procurement requirements.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive, current documentation of all sales activity within Magnet Forensics’ CRM system (Salesforce preferred).</li><li>Conduct ongoing discovery to understand shifting DoD priorities, capability gaps, and mission workflows.</li><li>Maintain deep knowledge of the digital forensics, cybersecurity, and defense technology landscape—including competitors, procurement pathways, and emerging trends.</li><li>Articulate strong business and mission value tailored to the operational, investigative, and cybersecurity challenges within each DoD organization.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>*Note: This position requires travel to DoD locations, conferences, field offices, and customer sites as needed. Travel will be required at least 50% of the time.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>What We’re Looking For </strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of software sales experience into the U.S. Federal Government, preferably within DoD agencies.</li><li>Demonstrated success selling to defense, military, or investigative organizations such as Army, Navy, Air Force, Army National Guard, DC3, NCIS, DCIS, AFOSI, or similar units.</li><li>Proficiency with CRM solutions; Salesforce strongly preferred.</li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills suited for both technical and command-level engagements.</li><li>Strong negotiation abilities and persuasive selling capabilities across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.</li><li>Security clearance is considered an asset</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation & Benefits </strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Compensation range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills.
