Conduct prompt, detailed, and fair investigations across multiple business segments for Bath and Body Works with a focus on allegations of misconduct, including harassment, retaliation, and discrimination. At times, the investigator will conduct investigations specifically in partnership with in-house counsel, external counsel, ethics and compliance, or other business functions.

Responsibilities

Business & HR Strategy Implementation & Influence

  • Support development and execution of a human resources strategy that corresponds with the company’s goals to strengthen and sustain the company.

People Services Delivery

  • Uphold Bath and Body Works values and standards of conduct by conducting and resolving highly complex investigations and advanced HR matters across multiple business segments with a focus on allegations of misconduct, including harassment, retaliation, and discrimination. This includes creating and completing investigation strategy with a focus on process integrity and a high degree of situational awareness.
  • Identify and assess trends and risk within organization to drive initiatives, policy improvements and overall culture.
  • Exercise strong decision making and risk assessment independently in scenarios that are complex, highly- sensitive, and require confidentiality
  • Collaborate with Legal, Global Ethics & Compliance, Associate Connect partners, HR Business Partners and people leaders on associate relations, performance management and trends impacting area of support.
  • Ensure policies, procedure and practices are adhered to in compliance with federal, state, and/or municipal laws
  • Ensure consistent and effective communication on highly complex matters including: written and verbal reports summarizing key findings and identifying trends, effective interviewing, and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Participate in the standardization of investigation protocols, templates, and documentation practices.

  • Deliver Best-in-Class HR experience to associates using effective communication through high volume interactions face-to-face, by phone and through written channels.
  • Aid in HR and change initiatives in a vibrant retail environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and/or compliance enforcement.
  • Working knowledge of multi-state employment-related laws, regulations, and procedures (e.g. DOL practices, EEOC processes, Title VII protections, FMLA/CFRA, ADA accommodations, NLRA, etc.), as well as experience with case management systems (e.g. EthicsPoint, Navex, Service Now)
  • Proven track record to evaluate and manage highly-sensitive and confidential situations
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen well, demonstrate sensitivity to all parties, and easily develop trust, rapport, and partnership with colleagues, key partners and leaders, as well as excellent analytical skills and the ability to assess complex situations
  • Commitment to the highest degree of ethical conduct
  • Strong focus on delivering exceptional client service, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage projects, manage multiple caseloads effectively, and excel in communication.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel 20 - 30%, where investigations require a physical presence

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Law, Journalism, Psychology, Public Policy or related field or equivalent experience
  • HR Professional certification (e.g., SPHR/PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, or related/similar certifications). Formal investigations training or certification is preferred.
  • Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH)
