To date, we’ve reached over 14,000 schools and over 3.4 million children in all 50 states.</p> <p><strong>Job Description</strong></p> <p>We seek an experienced, professional Senior Coordinator of Human Resources (HR) who will successfully collaborate with leadership and staff in this hands-on HR role with varied responsibilities. Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, the Senior Coordinator of HR works closely with leadership to align the Human Resources agenda with the strategic objectives of the foundation. The Senior Coordinator of HR will support CAF’s mission, vision, and goals, and its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB). The Senior Coordinator of HR administers and executes CAF’s human resources policies, procedures, strategies and programs, including; recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, training, local, state and federal regulatory compliance, occupational health and safety.</p> <p>The Senior Coordinator of HR will be part of a 2+ person HR team.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Support CAF’s day-to-day Human Resources needs</li> <li>Responsible for developing program plans in collaboration with the Senior Director of HR and completing assigned deliverables.</li> <li>Be a strategic partner to the CAF team and provide insightful, innovative thinking and problem solving in human resources and organizational initiatives.</li> <li>Supportive role in change management initiatives, ensuring thorough and effective planning, communication, execution, and follow-up throughout the organization.</li> <li>Help identify important trends and opportunities that are used to influence program decisions.</li> <li>Facilitate CAF’s talent acquisition strategy, supporting organizational and HR initiatives through knowledge of recruitment and selection strategies, HR trends, and liaising with other program areas and leaders.</li> <li>Assist with recruitment, identification of qualified candidates, interviewing, on-boarding and orientation for new hires.</li> <li>Develop and maintain relationships with third parties such as vendors, job websites, social media, post-secondary institutions, and other sourcing outlets.</li> <li>Assist with the administration of a comprehensive HR system.</li> <li>Works with the Senior Director of HR in maintaining and administering all salary schedules and compensation plans.</li> <li>Responsible for documentation related to accurate & timely payroll delivery.</li> <li>Support the ongoing administration of all employee benefit plans.</li> <li>Assist with the annual renewal process for health & welfare benefit plans.</li> <li>Ensure records and files are accurate, well organized and retained in compliance with applicable laws.</li> <li>Participates in the workers compensation claims management.</li> <li>Responds to Unemployment Insurance claims.</li> <li>Participate in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging initiatives.</li> <li>Maintain understanding and awareness of federal and state policies as they relate to program operations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Position Requirements</strong></p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Knowledge of HR functions and program trends and best practices, regulatory changes, and federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and demonstrates these competencies.</li> <li>Cultural competence with commitment to and appreciation for diverse values.</li> <li>Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with people of diverse backgrounds ability and/or experience working with co-workers from a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and experiences.</li> <li>Be adept at working in a fast-paced and growth-minded environment; adapt to change quickly and act as a positive change agent.</li> <li>Contribute to presentation of HR program information.</li> <li>Experience with employee relations.</li> <li>The ability to learn and engage with new technology programs and assist in implementing technology integration and maintenance.</li> <li>Ability to work virtually.</li> <li>Occasional travel required</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred education, formal training, and experience</strong></p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>A minimum of 5 years experience managing human resources generalist functions.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li>Knowledge of and / or work experience in K12 public school districts and / or school food preferred.</li> <li>Strong proficiency in GSuite platforms.</li> <li>A related professional human resources certification designation is preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Traits</strong></p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>A passion for food systems and a strong interest in childhood health and wellness</li> <li>Strong professional relationship management skills</li> <li>Resourcefulness in finding solutions to unique problems and making pivots to ensure outcomes</li> <li>Can seamlessly shift between strategic big-picture thinking and honing in on finer tactical details</li> <li>Flexible mindset and innovative thinker</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Willingness to engage in continuous learning and trainingAble to effectively work both independently and collaboratively</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <p>Compensation ranges between $52,000 – $66,000 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate’s previous experience and credentials.
