THE CHALLENGE

The Finance & Operations team is seeking to add a sharp, commercially minded partner to lead Strategic Procurement and Deals at Eventbrite. Our goal is to optimize vendor relationships, unlock cost efficiencies, and ensure that every deal supports our long-term growth and profitability. Example projects range from structuring multi-million-dollar SaaS and infrastructure contracts, to negotiating commercial terms with key partners, to building scalable procurement processes that balance speed with governance.

This successful individual will partner with senior leaders across Finance, Legal, Product, and Engineering to evaluate spend, negotiate enterprise-level contracts, and provide insights into how vendor strategies impact overall company performance. You’ll need to bring both the strategic mindset to guide resource allocation and the tactical rigor to execute complex negotiations.

THE TEAM

The Finance & Operations team partners with the CEO, CFO, and senior company leaders to ensure Eventbrite deploys capital efficiently and responsibly. We are a fast-moving team that thrives on structure, creative problem-solving, and impact. We immerse ourselves in vendor landscapes, market benchmarks, and financial models, then deliver insights and recommendations that shape company direction. If you enjoy operating at the intersection of commercial negotiation, financial analysis, and strategic execution—let’s talk.

THE ROLE

This contribution to Eventbrite’s growth and operational discipline requires a strong procurement and deal-making leader who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves in contract details and advising senior executives on vendor strategy. You’ll bring deep negotiation experience, financial acumen, and a process-oriented mindset to shape how Eventbrite manages external partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive strategic procurement and vendor management for all major enterprise contracts, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and business leaders to structure and negotiate deals across SaaS, cloud infrastructure, professional services, and other enterprise categories.
  • Develop scalable procurement processes that balance speed, governance, and compliance, while driving measurable cost savings and ROI.
  • Evaluate and benchmark vendor proposals, framing risks and returns clearly to enable effective decision-making at the executive level.
  • Support company rhythm including quarterly business reviews, long-range planning, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Serve as the internal authority on vendor contracts, pricing benchmarks, and procurement strategy, ensuring leaders understand spend performance vs. expectations.
  • Communicate P&L impact of vendor and deal decisions to Finance leadership.

THE SKILLSET

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or commercial negotiations
  • Demonstrated success negotiating large, complex enterprise deals (SaaS, cloud, professional services, or similar categories)
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with ability to model deal scenarios and identify key drivers of cost and value
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to executives
  • Comfort with pulling and synthesizing data from multiple systems (ERP, spend analytics, vendor benchmarks)

BONUS POINTS FOR

  • Experience in a technology or publicly traded company
  • Proven track record driving procurement transformation or implementing scalable sourcing processes
  • Familiarity with Adaptive Insights, Workday, or other enterprise finance systems
  • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to build frameworks from scratch
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
