Your Role The Senior Principal will serve as a highly experienced subject matter expert in Bank Loan and Private Credit markets, providing strategic leadership and technical expertise across large-scale transformation initiatives. This role is a senior individual contributor position requiring deep knowledge of bank loan instruments, market infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks. The Senior Principal will drive operational excellence, process optimization, and best practice adoption while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure superior service delivery and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and influence large-scale transformation projects within Bank Loan Services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational health and performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and automation strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Maintain deep understanding of Private Credit and Bank Loan markets, including CLO structures, trade settlement, and lifecycle management.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex issues such as restructurings, corporate actions, and new fund launches.
  • Oversee communications and coordination with trustees, agent banks, custodians, and other third-party providers.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct process reviews and recommend enhancements to achieve best practice standards.
  • Design and implement solutions for new products in collaboration with FO, MO, technology teams and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Lead audit processes across multiple fund structures with internal and external auditors.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and mentor, providing training and guidance to team members and leadership as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Front Office, MO, Global Operations, Risk, Legal, Fund Accounting) and external partners.
  • Represent Bank Loan Services in committees, service meetings, and industry forums.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in investment industry with a focus on Private Credit and Bank Loan markets.
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects and transformation initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of trustee, agent bank, and custodian operations.
  • Familiarity with Wall Street Office Suite, Everest, and S&P Global industry tools/ apps, and rating agency platforms (S&P, Moody’s).
  • Strong understanding of automation tools and data analytics for process improvement.
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • BA/BS – Finance/Accounting preferred
