Role Summary

We need a Social-First Video Editor to slice and dice video content and social ads. You live to feed the feed, devouring trends as fast as they appear, and throwing some of your own in the mix while you’re at it. Whether it’s internally produced, coming from a partner, or your own creation, if you’ve touched the footage, you’ve left it better than you found it.

Tangibles

  • You break thumbs. You could turn footage of grass growing into a top performing ad. You use social video trends as a tool and create your own as needed. You are really good at editing video in a way that keeps people hooked from the first frame to the last.

  • You know good when you see it. You don’t always need a bullet-proof editing brief to pull together a great cut. You go hunting for the better performance and know it when you see it. You take the assignment as a starting place and then add your POV to make it better than it was asked to be.

  • Your videos work. You’ve been editing in the space long enough to have a good intuition for what makes a video perform as an ad. You’re curious about how your video ads could be made to perform better, and you’re constantly experimenting to find new ways to capture and keep attention.

Intangibles

Everyone in the creative department is held to the following standards:

  • We make the best work of our careers. We hold ourselves to the highest standards as we make creative work, because if we’re not proud of what we’re making, why should anyone else pay attention to it.

  • We believe in the power of creativity. We know that creativity creates outcomes, and so we constantly look for the thing that hasn’t been done before, and never settle for the expected.

  • We crave feedback. We know that everything we do can always be improved. We seek out feedback from voices we respect, and give it when asked, thoughtfully and constructively.

  • We have an opinion. We are not just hands on keyboards, everyone, regardless of seniority or role, is expected to have ideas and a strong point of view that they work hard to develop.

  • We turn constraints into unfair advantages. We know there is never enough time or money to do things the easy way, and so we take constraints and make the most of them, always looking for the most creative solution to the limitless challenges that litter our path.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a social video editor.

  • A portfolio of social video that shows the latest trends cut in ways we can’t look away from.

  • AI is a part of your workflow. You see it as a powerful tool and you love finding new ways to use it to make your work more captivating and easier to produce. Show us something cool you’ve made, and then explain how you made it.

To Apply

  • If you are excited by the opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing healthcare company by organizing and optimizing our creative output, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are a great fit for this role.
