SOCIAL MEDIA Assistant needed to join our well established and growing shoe retail business. We need an enthusiastic, customer focused and detail conscious person to join our team to assist with our SOCIAL MEDIA

Reporting to the Store Manager, this is an exciting and varied role in a small and growing business. This position will suit someone hardworking, with the option to get involved in a diverse role that will increase our social media presence. This role also includes serving customers on the shop floor and helping with stock duties at busy times.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Create social media content, assist with Facebook group management and upload stories across Instagram and Facebook. The Digital team will support with the overall strategy and content guidance.
  • Editing videos for promotional pieces for all digital platforms.
  • Creating and editing videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
  • Liaise with outside brands and companies for sponsorship opportunities and competition giveaways.
  • Identify content gaps and growth opportunities for online content.
  • Monitor online statistics and traffic.
  • On busy periods serve customers as a priority, showing high standards of customer service at all times.
  • Assist with uploading of products and data to the Back Office Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) system.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels on our inventory system.
  • Assist with our online department to maintain a high level of online presence.
  • Help process daily orders from our Web Platform, Telephone and Social Media.
  • Monitor and update social media channels consistently.
  • Assist with social media customer service queries.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and keen to impress.
  • Basic IT skills needed to function in an office
  • Numerate and analytical.

Desired Skills

  • Experience of working in a Fashion Retail Sales environment.
  • Experience in using Back Office Electronic Point of Sales (EPoS) system.
  • High Level experience in Customer Service.
