Protecting our elements of life is our purpose and this inspires us to ever-new solutions.<br><br>ECMS operates globally in 15 countries with approximately 20 production sites and over 4,000 employees.<br><br><strong> As the Sourcing Manager, Precious Metals Refining and Chemicals, you will LEAD by………. <br><br></strong>The Sourcing Manager, Precious Metals Refining and Chemicals is responsible for sourcing external precious-metal-based products and services based on the strategy and business demands of Precious Metal Refining and Chemicals (CC-EM/R).<br><br>Key responsibilities:<br><br><ul><li> Sources external precious-metals-based products and services based on business demands </li><li> Manages toller selection, negotiation, contract management and reconciliation in compliance with BASF global procurement guidelines and principles </li><li> Works with other (non-ECMS) BASF sites to understand product and service needs, develop demand forecasts, and execute on sourcing needs </li><li> Manages operational execution of external sourcing, which includes qualification/packaging/shipping/release of materials for external processing, witnessing, release of purchase orders, precious metal accounts management, metal purchases/transfers, account reconciliation </li><li> Works with external suppliers to identify and resolve technical issues as necessary to optimize business outcomes </li><li> Supports make-vs-buy decisions </li><li> Representative of BASF to our third-party supplier base </li><li> Partners with Business Management to create and maintain a strategic overview of third party suppliers, including relationship management and understanding of capacities and capabilities in line with CC-EM/R strategic development <br><br></li></ul>Success is measured by contribution to the financial performance of CC-EM/R, effective business management of the relevant products and services, and implementation of profitable actions in line with our global strategy.<br><br><strong> Your elements for Success……… <br><br></strong><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related discipline </li><li> A minimum of 7+ years of progressive commercial experience in a global environment </li><li> Understanding of the precious metals markets is required </li><li> Experience in the chemical industry preferred </li><li> Demonstrated strength in establishing and maintaining business relationships </li><li> Ability to utilize excellent interpersonal skills and successfully interact with, and influence, the organization, industry experts, and senior management </li><li> Proven track record of working in a start-up like mode, fostering new ideas into tangible new business opportunities </li><li> Ability to build organizational alignment </li><li> Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time. <br><br></li></ul>You @ BASF ECMS<br><br>At BASF ECMS you get more than just compensation, Medical & Dental. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $115k-$150k annually.
