About the position

In the role of Sr. Solution Designer - Billing & AR working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of a high-performing and results-driven information technology team. This individual will play a crucial hands-on role as a functional and technical subject matter expert to support our strategic journey from SAP ECC to s4, including continuous improvement of our current solutions. This senior role will be accountable for design, delivery, and oversight of customer pricing, billing and accounts receivable best-practice technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of hands-on and expert-level product, solution and process knowledge to support business objectives and deliver value. This position reports to Sr. Mgr Solution Delivery - Enabling and works cross-functionally and collaboratively with other IT product solution teams (supply chain, commercial), IT product solution owners, business process owners, application support teams, and end users globally.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with IT product solution owners and internal business teams as a functional and technical subject matter expert within the order to cash (OTC) and record to report (RTR) capabilities; focusing on pricing, billing, and accounts receivable.
  • Works closely with business process owners and end users to understand business objectives and provide best practices-based solutions.
  • Leads project, enhancement, and support efforts including requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, design, build, configuration, testing, and implementation to help achieve business goals.
  • Accountable for the development of high quality functional and technical specifications, test documentation, job aids, and runbooks.
  • Serves as a key design authority and provides oversight for solution enhancements and support (break/fix).
  • Contributes to decisions on product, tool and method selection, providing input on industry trends
  • Supports change management functions in the development and delivery of end user training and job aids.
  • Leads the transition and handoff from the project delivery team to the application support team.

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant STEM field OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in the field of IT/solution delivery
  • You have at least 5+ year's experience in the field of IT (including functional experience - preferably within the CPG industry) encompassing solution development and delivery – with at least three of those years to include robust hands-on functional and technical experience with SAP SD (Pricing, Sales Order Management, Billing) and SAP FI (General Finance, Accounts Receivable).
  • You have a minimum one year of functional and technical experience with s4 (highly preferred).
  • You bring strong knowledge and expertise of procurement best practices for both order to cash and corresponding financial processes.
  • You have deep functional and technical knowledge of B2B integration and collaboration with suppliers including EDI, XML, and Portal.
  • You have deep functional and technical knowledge of procurement KPIs and analytics.
  • You have a proven and successful track record of delivering projects and enhancements as a functional and/or technical lead.
  • You have operated with both waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies, including RISE for SAP.
  • You have experience executing project testing and coordinating end user signoff.
  • You have experience delivering end user training and support.
  • You can work effectively, efficiently and independently to complete complex assignments and goals
