About the position

ComEd's Communications and Social team is charged with creating strategic, innovative, brand, advertising and communications plans and materials. The Senior Specialist, Brand and Advertising will play a pivotal role in shaping and visually communicating the company's story to internal and external audiences. Working collaboratively with the communications, social media, and marketing teams, this position requires a creative and detail-oriented professional who excels in graphic design and is passionate about brand storytelling. Common deliverables include but are not limited to: Digital and print materials such as social media graphics, brochures, presentations, infographics, and advertisements. Working closely with in-house photographers and videographers to help tell ComEd's story while adhering to established brand guidelines and forming a cohesive look across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Support ComEd's brand narrative strategy, social, advertising and integrated marketing communications efforts
  • Manage execution of ComEd's strategic initiatives and provide counsel to internal teams
  • Ensure all ComEd visuals adhere to Exelon's established brand guidelines and maintain a cohesive look across all platforms
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to shape creative direction and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Provide creative input during campaign planning, brand development, and advertising initiatives
  • Work with internal photography/videography team as well as agency partners to manage graphic design work and projects that support ComEd's brand and marketing campaigns and digital platforms
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines, quality, and stakeholder expectations

Requirements

  • 4-year relevant degree and 4-7 years of communications and/or web management experience
  • In lieu of a degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing communications strategy and tactics including traditional and non-traditional advertising, digital marketing, public relations, marketing automation journeys, and content marketing
  • Strong interpersonal communication and management skills
  • A passion for marketing, an appreciation of design and a desire to stay in front of the trends shaping business as we know it
  • High degree of interpersonal and communications skills and proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to lead and manage projects independently
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff

  • Broad experience in marketing communications or digital strategy
