Job Summary of Store Fulfillment Assistant:

The duties of a Store Fulfillment Assistant include organizing merchandise, operating the cash register, and ensuring the store is neat and orderly. By collaborating effectively with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer support, you will help create a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities of Store Fulfillment Assistant:

  • Obliged to be capable of performing duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Manages customer payments, conducts cleaning tasks, restocks shelves with goods, and presents merchandise displays neatly
  • Deliver outstanding assistance to customers, enriching their shopping encounters
  • Work jointly with team members and communicate clearly with the store management team
  • Provide management with an in-depth review of all products, inventory discrepancies, scanning inaccuracies, and general operational concerns
  • Get involved in overseeing store inventory counts in adherence to guidelines and ensuring inventory accuracy
  • Complies with cash policies and guidelines to minimize potential losses
  • Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data by following all established company policies and procedures
  • Additional tasks as needed

Physical Demands of Store Fulfillment Assistant:

  • Capability to shift merchandise from the store's receiving area to shelving and skillful placement of items, with a maximum weight of 45 pounds, on shelves at varying heights
  • The role necessitates the consistent performance of tasks like sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and strolling through the store
  • Responsible for executing job functions with or without necessary accommodation

Qualifications of Store Fulfillment Assistant:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
  • Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to stay organized, give attention to detail, follow instructions and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner
  • Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
  • A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
