You'll own the platform roadmap for our internal experimentation capabilities while partnering cross-functionally to identify business problems, evaluate build vs. buy decisions, and deliver scalable solutions that graduate from pilot to core infrastructure.</p> <p>This role sits at the intersection of platform strategy, technical execution, and business consulting - serving as the strategic owner of a platform that enables rapid experimentation and partners with Product Marketing and Engineering to graduate successful programs into Airbnb's core infrastructure at scale.</p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>A Typical Day: </strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>Own end-to-end platform strategy for incubation platform(s) </strong>(Elevate) and capabilities, defining 6+ month roadmaps and execution plans</li> <li><strong>Consult with business and technical partners</strong> to identify problems worth solving, evaluate program eligibility for 0>1 experimentation, and drive build vs. buy framework decisions</li> <li><strong>Partner on graduation pathways</strong> with Product Marketing and Engineering teams to define criteria, migration processes, and handoffs that transition successful experiments from incubation to core infrastructure at scale</li> <li><strong>Lead cross-functional delivery</strong> by creating concept briefs, coordinating across Sales, Operations, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Analytics teams, and enabling successful launches</li> <li><strong style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Evolve platform capabilities</strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> through experimental frameworks that enable rapid testing, guide architectural decisions for scalability and handoff readiness, and measure success through program outcomes and graduations</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>Your Expertise:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Exceptional communication - can articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences from engineers to business leaders</li> <li>10+ years in platform management, technical program management, or business systems roles with hands-on platform ownership</li> <li>Proven ability to independently identify strategic business problems and translate them into product roadmaps</li> <li>Strong technical aptitude - can evaluate architectural tradeoffs, engage in build vs. buy discussions, and challenge technical decisions</li> <li>Cross-functional leadership - can influence stakeholders across complex organizations, business and technical teams without direct authority</li> <li>Proven track record managing platform roadmaps and delivering through engineering teams, including offshore partnerships</li> <li>Strategic problem-solving skills with ability to identify business problems independently and translate them into execution plans</li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Your Location:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">This position is US - Remote Eligible.
