While primarily concerned with the Santa Monica stages, this role will collaborate with other Sony MoCap stages (San Diego) and supply to global support for the Creative Arts team.</p> <p>You love staying up to date on the latest trends and utilize your technical wizardry to tackle complex problems. Your customer service skills are top-notch, and you thrive in a live production environment, with proven track record of success in high-stress, high-demand systems designed around specific technical workflow.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Serve as technical lead for the Motion Capture Stages, including associated servers, workstations, and the tools involved.</li> <li>Act as primary liaison with the Creative Arts Motion Capture team to align IT services with business requirements.</li> <li>Regularly assess the technical infrastructure needs of the Motion Capture stages and provide recommendations to enhance performance and stability.</li> <li>Work with and administer storage systems for the stage environment, including data availability and security.</li> <li>Handle and tune monitoring tools to ensure availability of critical hosts and services.</li> <li>Serve as main contact point for all technical stage issues.</li> <li>Document system configuration, workflow, network diagrams.</li> <li>Available to work varying hours, shoot day schedules, on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.</li> <li>Provide coordination with the greater Studio IT team, mentorship, and training for backup of support services.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Proficiency with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.</li> <li>Proficiency with scripting languages and automation (Python).</li> <li>Proficiency with previsualization and production tools (Motion Builder, Maya).</li> <li>Proficiency with digital asset management and version control (Perforce).</li> <li>Familiarity with Active Directory, license servers, and virtual machines (SQL, VMware).</li> <li>Familiarity with game engine tools (Unreal).</li> <li>Proven background in automated Linux deployment diagnosing.</li> <li>Specific on-set stage experience for virtualized production.</li> <li>5+ years of relevant IT experience in a similar role.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Please refer to our <a href="https://www.playstation.com/en-us/legal/careers-privacy-notice/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Candidate Privacy Notice</a> for more information about how we process your personal information, and your data protection rights.</em></strong></p> <p>At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.</p> <p>Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. </p> <p>In addition, this role is eligible for SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.
