Position Summary and Responsibilities

Working from our office in Duluth, Georgia, the Truancy and Enrollment Case Manager is responsible for daily tasks of the school such as managing enrollment data, tracking the enrollment process for students with disabilities, tracking truancy escalation steps for students with disabilities, and assisting Special Education Leadership. Additionally, the Truancy S Enrollment Case Manager will create and maintain data regarding truancy and daily communication with all stakeholders, ensuring all parties are completing necessary tasks in the truancy procedure.

Responsibilities

  • Create, verify, and maintain tracking sheets with data that is updated daily with confidential information on multiple platforms
  • Maintain the integrity of processes that are simultaneously occurring at high volume in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Manage a fluid and time-sensitive dataflow
  • Share and coordinate next steps with appropriate stakeholders
  • Maintain record of legal documents sent and received
  • Schedule appointments

  • Assist with logging and updating incoming special education documentation
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with districts throughout the state of Georgia to expedite special education record requests

  • Develop, oversee, and maintain student success plans and work with families to ensure adherence to school policies.
  • Identify students in violation of attendance or participation requirements and initiate appropriate interventions, including tracking and documenting compliance
  • Support families through the school withdrawal process, assisting with data collection regarding withdrawal.
  • Participate in daily on-camera office hours, providing support to students and caretakers and resolving compliance-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with school teams and staff members to address attendance, participation, and compliance concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Renewable Special Education teacher certification
  • Experience in managing Special education processes
  • Experience in writing IEPs
  • Understanding of the legal implications of truancy in special education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google tools and web-based applications is essential (Proficiency with Google tools is more important)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
