*Please note: This role is hybrid  and based out of one of our New Jersey Technology offices. Locations include: Parsippany, NJ & Mahwah, NJ. Please only apply if you live within a commutable distance or are willing to relocate for the duration of the internship.

Internship Overview:

The UPS Technology Group is hiring for multiple summer internship positions including software engineeringapplication developmentdata analytics, product management and information security roles. Based on your background and skillset, we will match you to a team within one of our product teams:

  • EDA – Enterprise Data & Analytics
  • OPT – Operations Technology
  • OTE – Operations Technology Engineering
  • BaSE Tech – Building and Systems Engineering Technology
  • GHS – Global Healthcare Solutions
  • CTI – Commercial Technology & International
  • EFS – Fintech
  • GIS – Global Infrastructure Services
  • CT – Customer Technology

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to projects within your assigned product team
  • Apply and develop technical and soft skills through hands-on experience.
  • Collaborate with team members and mentors to achieve project goals.

Technical Skills Required:

To qualify for this internship, you should be familiar with at least three of the technical skills listed in any of the categories below:

  • Programming Languages: Java, Python, C++, .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL
  • Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows Server
  • Platforms/Frameworks: Agile Methodology, Cloud Technology (Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes), ASP.NET, Spring Framework, Angular
  • Data Systems: Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Oracle Database
  • Networking/Infrastructure: LAN/WAN Networking, Cisco IOS/NX-OS
  • Tools & Technologies: ServiceNow, Ansible, PowerShell, Qualys, Visual Studio
  • Development & Testing: Web Development, DEVOPS, Testing, Performance Testing, REST API, SOAP
  • Additional Skills: Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Container Platforms/Cloud Development

Note: Again, you are not required to have expertise in all listed technical skills, but you must possess knowledge of at least three combined from any of the categories above.

Soft Skills: Effective Written and Verbal Communication, Adaptability, Agility, Problem-Solving, Detail-Oriented, Organized, Critical Thinking

Other Requirements:

  • Availability to work 40 hours per week during the summer months (Monday - Friday, June - August).
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last 24 months) from a degreed program in Computer Science or a related field.
  • This role is hybrid and based out of one of our New Jersey offices (Mahwah or Parsippany). You must live within a commutable distance or be willing to relocate for the duration of the internship.

  • Pay Range Estimate: $16.50​ - $32.78 per hour 

    • Note: Actual Compensation offered to candidate may vary within range based upon geographic location and education. The pay rate will be finalized at the offer stage. 

  • 401(k) retirement program – eligible at 90 days of employment 

  • Personal time 

  • Discounted Employee Stock Purchase Program – eligible at 6 months of employment
