Job Description:

  • Acts as a point of contact and advisor to targeted client group. Assesses client needs and proactively generates relevant ideas and solutions. Possesses fully developed client relationship skills and product knowledge. Enlists the necessary expertise of product specialists, credit products officers, and support staff to deliver banking services to the clients.
  • Responsible for business origination, development, and retention of subsidiaries of Global Corporate Banking clients.
  • Builds and manages relationships with corporate clients with emphasis on origination business and portfolio risk in the assigned business segment
  • Calls on existing or prospective clients and meets with financial officers/treasurers/Chief Financial Officer to advice on a range of corporate banking product solutions to meet client needs
  • Prices products within targeted rate of return, documents and closes transactions, ensures conformance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements
  • Defines responsibilities and coordinates objectives for all product areas in a relationship or transaction and resolves all client needs and interfaces with other departments to resolve any customer concerns
  • Monitors and analyses relationship plan results, account activities, and determines client profitability
  • Ensures the integrity and completeness of documentation in conformance with regulatory requirements and established policies and procedures
  • Fully leverage the Bank of America combined platform by cross selling the bank’s broad range of capabilities and network.
  • Work imaginatively and proactively to help develop a leading-edge corporate banking proposition to subsidiary clients which brings together the best of Bank of America, leveraging on the relationships at HQ with Global Corporate Banking and aligns it closely to the local market/s.
  • Navigate stakeholder environments across product groups, geographies, and risk functions, and bring transactions to closure with agility and discipline.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline with measurable conversion metrics.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in successful MNC client relationship management and business development (origination and execution of financial service solutions)
  • Have demonstrated an independent, entrepreneurial mindset and results-oriented approach.
  • Able to drive revenues by working across multiple product sets, harnessing the full benefits of the Bank of America product proposition. Proactive, solution-driven approach to clients, presenting compelling product suggestions based on a strong understanding of the client’s individual situation and requirements.
  • Used to working under time pressure to deliver results.
  • A good understanding of a product range that includes credit, trade, cash management, risk management and global market products.
  • Ability to think and act regionally as well as locally, working with internal product /support partners and with global corporate client teams and the respective product and support stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the local market and operating environment across Asia Pacific is an added advantage.
  • Self-driven, mature, confident, independent, good in following through and able to interface well with senior Bank officers as well as key decision makers of the clients and external institutions
  • Strong negotiation skills, for working with banking partners, alliances and service providers.
  • A strong understanding of risk and credit.
  • Excellent analytical, sales, communication, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Bank systems, technology and interfaces will be beneficial.
  • Flexible working style – ability to multi-task and to lead change.
  • Experienced at navigating a large international organization and influencing key internal stakeholders.
